"Duval Gardens!"
Duval Gardens has the ultimate Key West bed and breakfast location on . . . yes, you guessed it . . . world-famous Duval Street. This is the ideal place for visitors who want to stay right smack dab in the middle of the action, or simply would like a short trip back after completing the Duval crawl.
While Duval Street may be your idea of heaven on earth, keep in mind that the action doesn't stop for long, even if you may want to. What I mean is that the free-roaming roosters start crowing early and some people don't leave the bars until 4:00.This two-story building with deep porches is picturesque and rests behind a nice white picket fence. It has only a few rooms, so if you have a group you can practically get the place to yourselves. Each room has a private bath, air conditioning, a mini-refrigerator and cable TV. The beds have lovely canopy nets. The rooms are designed for two guests, with a rollaway bed available if you bring a child. The place is pet friendly. There is a small pool with adequate length for swimming and almost no width. Don't try racing too many guests at once. Breakfast is served on the broad front porch, so you have plenty to watch on Duval Street while you are eating.
