"Eden House!"

Eden House has more hammocks (eight) and more porch swings (eleven) than any other guest house or bed and breakfast in Key West. That should give you a good idea of the pace of the place.

I think I can best describe the atmosphere as laid back, starting with the fact that there are no alarm clock/radios in the rooms.

Located near Duval Street in Old Town, this is the oldest hotel in Key West. Fortunately, it has been fully renovated to meet our modern standards of creature comfort.

It has grown over the years by acquiring adjacent houses. Now there are 35 rooms, ranging from luxury suites to semi-private rooms (that means you share a common bathroom with other guests).

Once you see the lush landscaping, you might think the place is named for the garden of Eden. Actually, it is named for Mike Eden, who has been the owner and operator since way back in 1975.

Although breakfast is not included, free drinks are served at the happy hour, which begins at four o'clock each day.
