"Topless in Key West!"
Yes, I can tell you there are places to be topless in Key West. During the well-known Fantasy Fest in October, women wearing only body paint on their boobs are a common site on the streets and temporarily are tolerated.
Things are different during the rest of the year. The official policy is that topless is not allowed, and you will not see it on the streets. On the public beaches, a few women will be topless from time to time, especially if few people are present. Nothing happens unless someone complains. story. At the main hotels, people are expected to remain covered up by the swimming pools and generally do so. Almost all guests know the rules when booking their rooms. Certain hotels and guest houses are topless friendly, either by their pools or on their private beaches. Pier House Resort and Caribbean Spa at One Duval Street has such a beach, along with 126 rooms and 16 suites, three restaurants, four bars and a full service spa. Several Key West lodging establishments are primarily or exclusively for gays, lesbians, or both. These places are more apt to be topless or clothing optional. The best policy is to ask in advance and know before you go. In Key West you won't find the topless entertainment that is so common in a few other Florida cities. You can always go to the clothing optional bar of the Garden of Eden.
